Overview
The scheme will provide aid to Employers operating within specific knowledge-intensive economic sectors, in the form of:
Partial reimbursement of salaries for full-time employment on an indefinite basis;
either of newly employed staff, to carry out duties pertaining to the specific knowledge-intensive sector;
or of staff already employed with the same undertaking uninterrupted as from 1st January 2018 onwards, carrying out duties pertaining to the specific knowledge-intensive sector. In such cases, eligibility is restricted to employees for which their employer has already benefitted from the full 3-year cycle under the Gozo Back Office Employment Refund Scheme or Gozo Employment Refund Scheme;
Partial reimbursement of training/tuition/registration costs incurred for participation in training conferences, seminars, and conventions, pertaining to the specific knowledge-intensive sector, taking place either online, locally, or abroad.

What you'll get
The aid that beneficiaries will receive from the Supporting Knowledge-Based Sectors in Gozo Scheme over a period of 3 years, will cover:
partial reimbursement of the Annual Basic Salary of each employee on an indefinite contract, carrying out sector-specific duties in Gozo.
partial reimbursement of training/tuition/registration costs incurred for participation in training, conferences, seminars, and conventions pertaining to the specific knowledge-intensive sectors, taking place either online, locally, or abroad.
The total amount of de minimis aid granted to a single undertaking shall not exceed the amount of €300,000 over any period of three consecutive years.
Aid will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to terms and conditions of the Scheme and the annual ceiling and total budget.
Eligibility
Undertakings and employers operating within the following knowledge-intensive economic sectors falling under the NACE code categories listed below are eligible to apply if satisfying the eligiblity criteria as indicated in the scheme’s Guidance Notes:
J58.2 - Software Publishing
J62 - Computer Programming, consultancy, and related activities
J63.1 - Data processing, hosting, and related activities
K - Financial and insurance activities
M69 - Legal and accounting activities
M70 - Activities of head offices; management consultancy activities
M71 - Architectural and engineering activities; technical testing and analysis
M72 - Scientific research and development
M74.1 - Specialized design activities
R92 - Gambling and betting activities

Proof that the applicant’s business concern has a registered address in Gozo from where operations are carried out
A copy of the Employment Contract
Jobsplus Employment History for each employee that is being applied for
Jobsplus Engagement Form for each employee that is being applied for
A copy of the Identity Card for each employee that is being applied for
VAT Information Sheet showing Company’s NACE Code Classification
