Overview

The majority of goods do not need a licence to be exported from Malta. However, a selection of goods as listed in the Schedule to the Exportation Control Regulations, 2004 (SL 117.02) need to attain prior authorisation from the Commerce Department before they can be released for export.

An export licence valid for 1 month.

Eligibility

Natural persons, commercial and non-commercial private companies and government entities.

How to apply

Fill in the online form and print it. The form must be presented in person or sent by post to:

Commerce Department
Import/Export Licensing Unit
Lascaris Bastions
Dahlet Gnien is-Sultan
Valletta VLT 1933

The form cannot be submitted online due to the requirement of an original signature.
